  • The manuscript has not been previously published or is under consideration by another journal (or an explanation has been provided in the “Comments to the Editor”).
  • The manuscript is in Microsoft Word format.
  • URLs and DOIs for references have been included where applicable.
  • The text is double-spaced, uses Times New Roman font, size 12, and employs italics instead of underlining (except for URLs).
  • All illustrations, figures, and tables are embedded within the text at the appropriate points.
  • A separate title page includes the full names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors (this information should not appear in the main text).
  • The manuscript adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic formatting outlined in the Instructions for Authors.

Instructions for Authors

The European Journal of Engineering and Technology Insights (EJETI) strives to make an initial decision on submissions within one week of receipt. Following this, the peer review process typically takes two weeks. Once accepted, articles will be published within 72 hours.

Authors are asked to submit their manuscripts in Microsoft Word format in accordance with these instructions. Submissions should be sent to the submission email: Submission.ejet@tetronpublications.com

Manuscripts should be written in clear, professional English, using either US or UK spelling consistently throughout the entire manuscript. Please ensure uniformity in your choice of spelling style. Authors are encouraged to use language editing services if needed to ensure the manuscript’s clarity and accuracy. For language editing services, please contact editorial.ejet@tetronpublications.com

Manuscripts must be double-spaced and use 12-point Times New Roman font on A4 paper with 1-inch margins. All pages should be numbered consecutively.

Word Limit

The total word count should not exceed 7,000 words, including the title, abstract, main text, references, tables, figures, and supplementary information (which should be submitted separately).

Article Types

EJETI accepts a variety of article types, which include Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Short Communications, Case reports, Case series, Case Studies, Letters to the Editor, Methodology Papers, Conference Proceedings, Perspective Articles, Commentary, Opinion Pieces, and Technical Notes.

Abstract

The abstract should not exceed 300 words and should be followed by 7-10 keywords.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should include the following sections:

  • Title Page: The title page should include the authors’ names, affiliations, corresponding author’s details (name, affiliation, ORCID ID, email), and a declaration section (acknowledgements, conflict of interest, ethical statement, funding, etc.). This should be submitted separately from the main manuscript file.
  • Main Manuscript:
    1. Introduction
    2. Literature Review (optional)
    3. Materials and Methods
    4. Results
    5. Discussion
    6. Conclusion
    7. Acknowledgements (optional)
    8. References
    9. Annexures (optional)

References

Authors are required to follow the Vancouver style for referencing.

  • In-text citations should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are cited in the text. Use Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.).
  • In-text citations should include the reference number in square brackets directly after the text you’re referencing. For example:
As Jones [1] explains, the impact of climate change is becoming more evident.
  • Each citation in the text should correspond to a reference in the reference list, and vice versa.
  • The reference list should appear at the end of the manuscript, ordered numerically, corresponding to the order of citations in the text. Each entry should use a hanging indentation.
  • In the reference list, Include up to three authors; if more, list the first three followed by “et al.”

In-text Citation Example:

Example 1: The impact of climate change is becoming more evident [1].

Example 2: Several studies have explored this issue [1-3].

Reference List Format:

Example: Smith J, Doe A, Lee P, et al. The role of biomarkers in cancer diagnosis. J Oncol Res. 2023;12(3):45-60. DOI: 10.1000/jonres.2023.4560.

Peer Review

The peer review process is an important aspect of the article publication process. It helps an editor decide on an article and also enables the author to improve their work. Manuscripts (other than those of insufficient quality, irrelevant to the study area, or unlikely to be competitive enough for publication) will be peer-reviewed by two field experts, and the results will be sent to the authors. The process may take up to 14 days. If, for some reason, the review process takes longer, the authors will be informed by email.

Possible decisions on a manuscript are:

  • Accepted as it is.
  • Accepted after minor revision (authors should submit a revised version within 4 days).
  • Accepted after major revision (authors should submit a revised version within 7 days).
  • Rejected.

Article Revision

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts based on feedback from the reviewers or editorial board. If the authors disagree with a suggested revision, they must provide a clear explanation in their response to the reviewer or editor.

Galley Proofs

After acceptance of the article, galley proofs will be sent to the corresponding author for final review. Authors should carefully check these proofs and return them within 48 hours to avoid delays in publication. The corresponding author will receive detailed instructions when the proofs are available. All content, including text, tables, figures, and images, must be thoroughly reviewed for accuracy.

Upon final publication, authors will have free electronic access to the full article in PDF format.

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

Review Procedure
The European Journal of Engineering and Technology Insights (EJETI) follows a double anonymized review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Each submission is evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The editor is responsible for the final decision on acceptance or rejection, and this decision is final. Editors do not participate in reviewing their own work, the work of family members, colleagues, or any research related to products or services in which they have an interest.

Double Anonymized Review
The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other to ensure impartiality. If a submission is not recommended for publication, the editorial board may request revisions or send it to another reviewer, based on the feedback provided. Authors will receive the negative review with detailed comments.

Review and Publication Time
The typical review time is up to two weeks. The journal follows a Continuous Article Publishing (CAP) model, where accepted articles are published online immediately after completing the publishing process, without waiting for a certain number of articles to finalize an issue.

Privacy Statement

Privacy, Confidentiality, and Informed Consent Policy

For Authors and Reviewers

At the European Journal of Engineering and Technology Insights (EJETI), we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of both authors and reviewers.

Authors entrust editors with their scientific work, often pivotal to their reputation and career. It is our responsibility to protect the confidentiality of their manuscripts during the review process. Similarly, reviewers have a right to privacy, which must also be respected. Confidentiality will only be breached in cases of alleged dishonesty or fraud, but otherwise, it will be strictly maintained.

Editorial Responsibilities:

  • Editors must not disclose any information about manuscripts, including their receipt, content, review status, feedback, or publication outcome, to anyone other than the authors and reviewers involved.
  • Editors must ensure reviewers understand that manuscripts are confidential and the intellectual property of the authors.

Reviewer Responsibilities:

  • Reviewers must respect the confidentiality of the manuscripts and should not publicly discuss or use the authors’ ideas before publication.
  • Reviewers are prohibited from making or keeping copies of the manuscript, sharing it with others, or using it without the editor’s explicit permission.
  • Reviewers must delete or destroy any copies of the manuscript after completing their review.

Additional Guidelines:

  • Reviewer comments cannot be published or shared without the explicit permission of the reviewer, author, and editor.
  • Editors must not retain copies of manuscripts that are rejected.

At EJETI, we prioritize the integrity, trust, and confidentiality of the publication process to uphold the highest standards of academic ethics.

Open Access

Publishing your work as Open Access (OA) means it is freely available for anyone to read, use, and build upon. This approach ensures your article has the greatest opportunity to be read and cited, removing barriers like access fees.

Open Access offers significant benefits for both authors and readers. For authors, it enhances visibility, reaches a broader audience, increases citations, and helps build a strong professional reputation. For readers, it provides unrestricted access to valuable content, enabling them to advance their work and knowledge.

The European Journal of Engineering and Technology Insights (EJETI) is committed to immediate open access to its content, promoting the global exchange of knowledge. Full-text access to the journal’s articles is available in the Archives section  on the official website.

EJETI facilitates open access by:

  • Making articles immediately available upon publication, with no restrictions.
  • Ensuring articles are freely accessible and easily discoverable alongside related content on the publisher’s platform.
  • Using an open license (CC BY), allowing users to build upon, adapt, and share content.

We believe that open-access publication is the simplest, most inclusive, and sustainable way to support open science and research. EJETI is proud to offer open access for primary research, fostering knowledge-sharing and collaboration worldwide.

The European Journal of Engineering and Technology Insights (EJETI) operates under a Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY).

Plagiarism Policy

The European Journal of Engineering and Technology Insights (EJETI) is dedicated to publishing only original work, which has neither been published elsewhere nor is under consideration elsewhere.

EJETI uses advanced plagiarism detection software to identify overlapping and similar text in submitted manuscripts. Any manuscript found to have plagiarism or unreferenced textual borrowing will be rejected by the Editorial Board.

Plagiarism Before Publication

EJETI evaluates each case of plagiarism on its own merits. If plagiarism is detected at any stage before publication—whether during submission, review, editing, or page-proofing—the authors will be notified and asked to either rewrite the plagiarized text or provide proper citations. If plagiarism is extensive (e.g., 26% or more of the manuscript), the article may be rejected, and the author’s institution/employer may be informed.

Policy for Detecting Plagiarism

Manuscripts are handled based on the extent of detected plagiarism:

  • 25% or less plagiarism: The manuscript will be returned to the authors for immediate revision.
  • 26% or more plagiarism: The manuscript will be rejected without further editorial review.

Authors are encouraged to revise the plagiarized sections and resubmit the manuscript as a new submission. The plagiarism percentage is calculated using detection software and manual assessment.

Plagiarism After Publication

If plagiarism is discovered after publication, EJETI will investigate the matter thoroughly. If confirmed, the journal will contact the author’s institution or funding agency. The published paper will be marked as plagiarized on every page of the PDF. Depending on the severity, the paper may also be formally retracted.

Recommendations for Avoiding Plagiarism

Authors are advised to follow these practices to avoid plagiarism:

  • Use quotation marks for verbatim text.
  • Avoid altering quotations within their original context.
  • Use single quotation marks for quotes within quotes.
  • Use ellipses (…) for omissions in quotes.
  • Use brackets for added words.
  • Limit the use of direct quotes and prioritize paraphrasing in your own words.
  • Obtain copyright permissions for reproducing figures, tables, or illustrations from other sources.

Permissions must be acknowledged at the foot of each figure, table, or illustration.

Self-Plagiarism

Self-plagiarism occurs when authors reuse their previously published work with minor alterations. While authors may feel entitled to reuse their material, published work is copyrighted, and reusing it without proper citation or permission is considered unethical. Authors should:

  • Use quotations and proper citations for reused material.
  • Obtain permission from copyright holders for significant reuse of prior content.

The European Journal of Engineering and Technology Insights (EJETI) upholds the highest standards of ethical publishing and expects the same from its contributors.
